Broken Humans

Broken humans do not usually know they are broken. Broken humans sometimes mistake their brokenness for being lonely or stressed out. They sometimes believe if they have things they will feel better about their lives. When they get to a point, they have changed everything in their lives but still feel the same way, why is that? Because the things they need to change the most, is the mindset in which they are thinking. Remember the saying “the mind that got you in your mess, it is not the same mind that will get you out of your mess” God knew what He was speaking of when He said, “You must have a changing of the mind.”

If you are stuck in a situation have the mind set to get out of your own way! And stop running when no one is chasing you. Be still1 and have enough patience to “Wait on the Lord and be of good courage!

Acceptance means to know that all is well even when you do not see or understand how it will turn out. But we must accept things and move on in our lives to be free. If you are broken, that is not going to happen!

I understand change is scary. I understand we do not want to be in this big ole’ world alone but sometime alone is the best place to be if we are broken. If we are broken people, we cannot be in a healthy relationship. We are smart enough to know this but too afraid to walk away from toxic and unhealthy relationships.

I have friends in relationships because they are debt-free. I have friends in relationships because it is easier to deal with his/her stuff than to find somebody new and must learn them all over again. But they are unhappy. They believe they cannot do any better or that they are too old to move forward. Age is just a number! You are never too old to do something different with your life. I started a new career at age 50! And I have never been happier for that move. Do not stay stuck. Do not stay in relationships for material things. And do not stay because you think you cannot do better. And there may not be anything wrong with him or her, but they are not just the right person for you.

I was listening to an oldie but goodie last evening “Young hearts run free, do not ever be hung up, hung up like my man and me. Young hearts to yourself be true; do not be a fool when love really don’t love you.” Does anybody remember that song.? It made sense then and it makes more sense now. Do not spend the rest of your life in pieces, be at peace instead.
